Terms & Conditions
Effective and last updated 27 September 2026. These Terms govern sellcameras.in and the camera buy-back service offered on it. By requesting a price, booking a pickup or otherwise using the service you agree to them.
Service operator
sellcameras.in is a brand of SYG Sell Your Gadget LLP (registered address A-38, 1st Floor, Ganesh Nagar, New Delhi 110018; GSTIN 07AEPFS1427N1ZH; LLPIN AAZ-8118; MSME Udyam DL-11-0052147; phone +91 95608 22859; email support@sellyourgadget.in).
1. The service
sellcameras.in helps you sell your used camera, lens and related photography equipment to us. The process is: (a) you request a price online or on WhatsApp, (b) if you accept, you book a free doorstep pickup, (c) our representative physically inspects the item at pickup, and (d) when you accept the final inspected price, ownership transfers to us and payment is released.
2. Online quote — disclaimer
Any price shown on this website, over WhatsApp, by phone or through any online calculator is a provisional, non-binding estimate only. It is based solely on the information you provide (brand, model, self-reported condition, accessories, lenses) without physical verification.
The final price is determined only after physical inspection at pickup, where our representative checks the item's functional condition, cosmetic condition, screen, sensor and lens condition, completeness of accessories and originality of parts. The final inspected price may be lower or higher than the online estimate, and may differ significantly if the item's actual condition, accessories or authenticity does not match what was declared online. You are under no obligation to accept the final inspected price — see section 8.
3. Physical inspection
- Functional check — powers on, shutter and sensor, autofocus, image stabilisation, lens elements, ports, battery health, screen and viewfinder, and any accessories included (battery, charger, memory card, box, lens caps, strap).
- Cosmetic grading — scratches, dents, fungus or haze in a lens, corrosion, missing parts, and visible signs of prior repair or opening of the body.
- Authenticity — genuine manufacturer parts; any refurbished, grey-market or third-party replacement part may reduce the price or, in serious cases, result in rejection.
- Deductions are applied transparently and told to you before you accept or reject the final price.
- Rejection — we may decline to buy an item if it fails a basic safety or functional check, if its condition is materially different from what was declared online, or under section 7. The final assessment is made by our inspecting representative, subject to review by SYG Sell Your Gadget LLP.
At pickup our representative assesses the item against the following, and the final price reflects this assessment:
4. Pickup visit charge (₹250)
- It does not apply if the sale does not go through because we reject the item on inspection (section 3), or because of a genuine dispute over the offered price.
- It is disclosed before you confirm a pickup booking, and you accept it as a condition of booking.
- It is collected at the time of the visit, by the payment mode our representative offers.
- It is adjusted or refunded if you later complete a sale with us on a revisit; if no later sale is completed, it is non-refundable.
A ₹250 pickup visit charge applies only when you have booked a pickup and, when our representative arrives, you decide on your own not to hand over the device (you refuse to sell after having called for a pickup, for reasons of your own). It covers the cost of sending our representative to your location.
5. Pickup, risk and transfer of ownership
- Pickup is free of charge (subject to section 4) and is scheduled for a date and time you choose, at the address you give.
- A person authorised to hand over the device (see section 7) must be present at pickup.
- Ownership passes from you to SYG Sell Your Gadget LLP only when you accept the final inspected price and hand the device to our representative, in exchange for a handover acknowledgement (physical or digital receipt).
- Until then the device, and all risk of loss or damage to it, remains with you.
- Our representative gives you proof of handover (signed slip, OTP confirmation or app-based acknowledgement) recording the item, the condition noted and the final agreed price.
6. Payment
- Payment is released after you accept the final inspected price and hand over the device.
- Payment is made by UPI, bank transfer or cash (whichever of these our representative offers at the time of sale) to the details you give at the time of sale.
- If a payment attempt fails (for example an incorrect UPI ID or bank detail given by you) we contact you to correct it; we are not liable for delay caused by incorrect payment details supplied by you.
- We hold nothing back from the agreed final price except a statutory deduction (for example TDS, if applicable under law).
7. Ownership, encumbrance and stolen-goods declaration
- You are the lawful owner of the device and have full legal right to sell it, or you are explicitly authorised by the lawful owner to sell it on their behalf.
- The device is free of any loan, EMI, pledge, lien, insurance claim or third-party ownership claim of any kind.
- The device is not stolen, lost, counterfeit or otherwise unlawfully obtained, and is not currently the subject of any police complaint, FIR or insurance claim.
- You will, if asked, provide the device's original purchase proof, box or other reasonable evidence of ownership, and you consent to us recording the device's serial number (where applicable) against your name and contact details.
- If any of the above is found to be false we may refuse the purchase, reverse a completed transaction and reclaim the amount paid, report the matter to the police and cooperate fully with any investigation, and pursue any other legal remedy. You are liable for any loss caused to us or to a third party by a false declaration. The same six points are shown to you as the Seller Declaration.
By offering a device for sale to us you confirm and declare that:
8. Cancellation
- Before a pickup is scheduled: cancel any time, free of charge.
- After a pickup is scheduled, before our representative arrives: cancel or reschedule free of charge by telling us in advance (WhatsApp or phone).
- At the time of pickup, if you decline to sell for your own reasons: the ₹250 charge in section 4 applies.
- After inspection, before you accept the final price: you may decline the final offer and keep your device, free of charge — this is not a chargeable cancellation under section 4.
- After you accept the final price and hand over the device: the sale is final (see section 5).
9. Disputes
If you have a complaint about a quote, inspection, payment or any other part of the service, contact our Grievance Officer (section 12) first. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi and governed by the laws of India.
10. Limitation of liability
Our liability in connection with the service is limited to the value of the transaction in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
