Which condition grade is your camera in?
The quote form on this site asks one question first: Flawless, Good, Average or Below Average. Here is what each grade means and how to choose honestly.
The four grades, as written on the form
- Flawless — looks like new. No scratch, no dent, screen clean, everything works.
- Good — light signs of use. Small scuffs, no dents, everything works.
- Average — clear signs of use. Scratches or minor dents, everything still works.
- Below Average — heavily used. Deep scratches, dents or a worn body. Still working.
Every grade ends with “works”. The grades describe how the body looks, not whether it functions. A camera that does not switch on, has a stuck shutter or a dead screen does not fit any of the four, so do not force it into one — see the last section.
How to pick in under a minute
- Look at the body in daylight. Turn it over: the base plate, the corners and the grip rubber show wear first.
- A scuff is a mark you can see but not feel with a fingernail. A scratch is one you can feel. A dent changes the shape of the body.
- A couple of small scuffs and no scratches: Good. Scratches you can feel, or a small dent: Average. Peeling rubber, deep scratches or a dent on a corner: Below Average. Nothing at all: Flawless.
- Between two grades? Pick the lower one.
What happens if the grade is wrong
Our team checks the camera at pickup and the price is confirmed there. If it is not in the grade you chose, they tell you before anything changes, and you can say no and keep the camera. Picking a higher grade than the camera deserves does not get you more money — it only adds a conversation at the door.
Camera with a fault
The form has no grade for a camera that does not work. Call or WhatsApp 95608 22859 with the model name and the fault, and our buying team will tell you whether we can take it.
Questions people ask
Is the grade about the lens too?
The form asks for one grade, and the lens you add is quoted with it. Describe the body. If the lens is in worse shape than the body, say so on the call.
Why is no price shown until I verify my number?
Because the number is not one figure per model: it depends on the grade, the age and the accessories. The price that matches your answers is shown after the one-time code, and that is also the number our team calls you on.
