Why your lens does not get its own condition grade
The quote form asks for one condition grade and uses it for the body and for every lens you tick. Here is why, and what to do if a lens is not really in the grade you picked for the body.
One grade, body and lens together
The form asks a single question about condition — Flawless, Good, Average or Below Average — and that answer covers the body. Each lens you tick from the list on the model page is added to the quote from its own price row, at that same grade. There is no separate condition question for the lens.
When the lens is not really in that grade
A body and a lens do not always age the same way. A camera kept in a clean bag can still have a lens with a stiff zoom ring or a mark on the glass, and the other way round. If a lens you are adding is clearly better or worse than the grade you picked for the body, say so when our team calls, or mention it over WhatsApp before pickup, so the lens line can be set correctly instead of only going by the body grade.
What happens at pickup
Our agent looks at the body and every lens you are handing over before paying. If a lens matches what you described, the quoted amount for it stands. If it does not, the agent re-quotes that line and tells you the reason before anything is paid, the same way a body mismatch is handled — and you can say no and keep the item.
Selling only the lens
This site prices the camera body first and adds a lens to that quote. For a lens on its own, with no body, use the lens page on our main site: sellyourgadget.in/sell-lens.
Questions people ask
My lens has a mark but the camera body is clean. What grade do I pick?
Pick the grade that honestly fits the body, and mention the lens on the call. The team prices that lens line correctly at pickup instead of only going by the body grade.
Does a lens problem lower the whole quote?
No. Only the lens line changes. The body keeps the grade you picked for it.
