The EOS R50 V (2025) is the video-first version of the R50: the same 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor, but no viewfinder, a front record button and tally lamp, a second tripod socket on the side for vertical shooting, Canon Log 3 and 4K recording. It was launched with the RF-S 14-30mm power-zoom kit lens and uses the LP-E17 battery. It is new enough that most bodies sold to us are still in the first age bands.
