The A5000 (2014) is one of the smallest E-mount bodies Sony made: a 20.1-megapixel APS-C sensor, the BIONZ X processor, no viewfinder, a 3-inch screen that flips up 180 degrees, 1080p video, Wi-Fi with NFC, a single memory card slot and the NP-FW50 battery, which charges in the camera over USB from the supplied wall adapter. It was sold in India as a kit with the E PZ 16-50mm power zoom and sometimes with the 55-210mm, and it reaches us from first-camera owners moving to an A6000-series or ZV body.
What moves the resale value of a Sony Alpha A5000 Mirrorless
On a body this small the screen hinge and the flash button take the wear; check the pop-up flash, the rubber door over the USB port and the mount ring, and make sure the camera charges and powers on. In this price band the battery keeps the largest share of the original-item amounts, then the charger, then the box and the bill; the bag keeps the least. Tick it if you still have the Sony wall adapter and USB cable that came in the box; that is the charger for this model. A charger bought separately is not the original one.
Is the A5000 the same as the A5100?
No. The A5100 from the same family adds a touch screen and faster autofocus and has its own row on this site. The model name is printed on the top plate next to the hot-shoe-free flash housing.
