The A6500 (2016) is the A6300 with five-axis in-body stabilisation, a touch screen and a much larger buffer, on the same 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor with 4K recording and the 425-point autofocus. It still uses the NP-FW50 battery. Videographers who wanted stabilised 4K in a small body bought it, and they are the ones who sell it now that the A6600 and A6700 exist.
