About this model
| Megapixels | 20.1 |
| Sensor | 1-inch |
| Launched | 2017 |
The PowerShot G9 X Mark II (2017) is the slimmest body in Canon's 1-inch G series: a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch sensor, the DIGIC 7 processor, a fixed 28-84mm equivalent f/2-4.9 zoom with a control ring around the lens, a fixed 3-inch touch screen, 1080p video, Wi-Fi with Bluetooth and NFC, and the NB-13L battery. It has no viewfinder and no hot shoe, and it fits a shirt pocket, which is why most G9 X Mark IIs reach us as a travel camera that went everywhere.
What moves the resale value of a Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II
The lens is fixed, so the G9 X Mark II is graded as one piece: look at the front element, the lens barrel and the control ring, then the touch screen, the pop-up flash, the mode dial and the base plate; make sure the lens extends fully and the shutter fires at both ends of the zoom. This row asks for the grade and the original items you still have, box, bill, charger, battery and bag, but no age band, so the condition you choose does most of the work.
Lenses usually sold with the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II
There is no lens list on this page because the zoom cannot be removed. A wrist strap, a case, a spare NB-13L battery or a memory card is not a priced row; hand them over at pickup if you wish and mention them on the call.
How the quote works for this model
Pick the grade, tick the original items you still have and verify your mobile number. The quote shows the camera line and the total; the representative checks the lens, the sensor and the screen at pickup and pays that amount when the camera matches your answers.
Bodies are priced on their own; every listed lens you tick is added from its own price row. Four grades (Flawless, Good, Average, Below Average), five original items (box, bill, charger, battery, bag) and five age bands, from under four months to more than two years, set the number. Read the guide before you answer.
Questions sellers ask about the Canon PowerShot G9 X Mark II
Is the G9 X Mark II the same as the G7 X Mark II?
No. The G7 X Mark II has a brighter 24-100mm f/1.8-2.8 lens and a tilting screen and has its own row on this site. The G9 X Mark II is the thinner body with the 28-84mm lens and a fixed screen; the name is printed on the top plate.
My G9 X Mark II charges only through a cable because I lost the charger. Which items do I tick?
Leave Original charger unticked and tick the items you do have. The camera charges in the body with a USB cable, so it can still be tested at pickup; say on the call that the charger is missing.
