The PowerShot G7 X Mark II (2016) was the first Canon with the DIGIC 7 processor: a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch sensor, a fixed 24-100mm equivalent f/1.8-2.8 zoom with a control ring, a built-in three-stop ND filter, a 3-inch touch screen that tilts up to face you and down for high shots, 1080p video, Wi-Fi with NFC, a micro-USB port and the NB-13L battery. It has no viewfinder, no hot shoe and no microphone input, which is the easiest way to tell it from the Mark III. Many G7 X Mark IIs reach us from vloggers and travellers who upgraded to the Mark III or to a mirrorless body.
What moves the resale value of a Canon G7X II
Grade the G7 X Mark II as one piece because the lens is fixed: the front element, the lens barrel, the control ring and the zoom lever first, then the screen hinge, the pop-up flash and the base plate; a lens that sticks or stops short is a working fault, not wear. Age is asked in five bands counted from the bill date, and a 2016 body almost always falls in the last band, which is a single fixed step. In this price band the battery keeps the largest share of the original-item amounts, then the charger, then the bill and the box; the bag keeps the least.
Lenses usually sold with the Canon G7X II
There is no lens list on this page because the zoom cannot be removed. A grip, a small tripod, a filter adapter or a spare NB-13L battery is not a priced row; they come along with the camera at pickup if you choose to hand them over.
How the quote works for this model
Pick the grade, tick the original items you still have, choose the age band and verify your mobile number. The quote shows the camera line and the total; the representative checks the lens, the ND filter, the sensor and the screen at pickup and pays that amount when the camera matches your answers.
Bodies are priced on their own; every listed lens you tick is added from its own price row. Four grades (Flawless, Good, Average, Below Average), five original items (box, bill, charger, battery, bag) and five age bands, from under four months to more than two years, set the number. Read the guide before you answer.
Questions sellers ask about the Canon G7X II
How do I know if mine is the Mark II or the Mark III?
Look at the side ports: the Mark III has a USB-C port and a 3.5mm microphone socket, the Mark II has a micro-USB port and no microphone socket. Each has its own row on this site.
I bought the G7 X Mark II in 2017. Which age band do I choose?
Count from the bill date. A 2017 purchase is more than two years old, so pick the Above 24 months band; it is a single fixed step for every body of that age, and the grade and the original items decide the rest.
